This is a video is about how to make a nice mid-century modern laundry basket from simple pine 3/4 thickness boards and 1/4 oak plywood. The wood clothing basket is actually rather durable. My boy who is rather hard on things has had the wood clothing basket for about a year now and has yet to even ding it let alone destroy it. So this held up better than even I suspected the wood clothing basket would. We hope you enjoy our video on the build of the wood clothing basket.

This video is about how to make a fancy picture frame, with double inlays and splines. The fancy picture frame video is the last part of a 3 part series on how to make a fancy picture frame. If you have not seen the last 2 videos showing how to make the spline jig for the picture frame, or the inlays for the picture frame it is recommended that you check out those videos first! Once you have done one of these picture frames you will find it rather easy to do. We knocked out all 3 frames in the video in the span 1 night, minus the glue drying. The fancy picture frame will make an excellent addition to your home decor or a family/friend’s home decor.
This is part 1 of our video series on making a fancy picture frame! The fancy spline jig is a nice luxury item to have, and with universal t track support, the fancy spline jig can accommodate other cuts in the same angle profile such as splines for boxes, or splines on table edges. If the jig is built and supported correctly you can safely make spline cuts on tabletops and tabletop frames as well. We hope this video inspires you to build your own fancy spline jig and knock out some fantastic projects!

This video is about how to make a floating storage shelf/bookcase WITHOUT any screws, pocket holes, or other standard mechanical holders. Just simple wood dowels, plywood, and some glue. This thing is super stable. The trick is with the dowels going into the holes and the pieces being supported by additional glue surfaces, this thing has a bond similar to the wood itself! And let me tell you the floating storage shelf/bookcase can handle some weight. The kids have sat on it, we filled it with books, even bumped it while it was full of weight, and it did not flex or bow at all! That all being said, if you own a saw, glue, and have a local big box store or lumber yard around, you can build the floating storage shelf/bookcase very easily. We go into a lot of detail on how to build the floating storage shelf/bookcase in the video, but don’t let that dissuade you from doing one just like it. And the cool thing is when you are done this thing looks pro. But the funny is you did not have to work all that hard to get the floating storage shelf/bookcase cut drilled and glued together! But hey, no one else will know! Just enjoy the pats on the back for an awesome job. I hope you enjoy the video! 🙂

In this video, we are building a reptile enclosure for our bearded dragon! This reptile enclosure is made of birch plywood, and the top is made of cheap pine from the big box store.
The birch plywood for the reptile enclosure is cut to 2 ft. by 4 ft., and 2ft and 2ft. The lid for the reptile enclosure is made from pine and is 2 ft and 4 ft respectively. The center of the reptile enclosure lid is made from steel mesh that we got from the big box store.
The interior of the reptile enclosure is protected with shellac and left to fully de-gas before the bearded dragon was allowed in for his safety. The outside of the reptile enclosure was stained to match the house furniture and we used wipe-on poly to give it some light protection.
Special note: Using sand with a Bearded dragon, could be a bad thing with some bearded dragons. Bearded dragons are known for eating the sand spite it being part of their native environment. Sand eating can cause impaction. And should not be used in a cage with a young bearded dragon, or one that is having other issues such as lack of proper calcium, etc. So please use caution when doing this and talk to a professional if you are concerned about this possible issue. Our bearded dragon has been living in the sand for a few years without any issues. That being said, that does not mean yours will do the same.
